社团宗旨：
在理科、社科社团盛行的HFI开展文学与文化的交流和研究，以中外文学创作、文学赏析、文化传播的形式提高学生的文学素养。
社团活动内容：
1. 阅读名著节选，分析语言形式和文章风格，通过查阅作家资料、时代背景了解名著的立意与作者的行文风格。
2. 普及基本文学素养，包括对比中外各诗词流派的情感与区别；观摹中英文手写字体；了解古典文学中对景物、人物的表达。
3. 翻译作品鉴赏与翻译创作。
4. 社员创作文章、诗词，优秀投稿选入社团公众号发表推送。

SO.LIT文学社是HFI自18年以来，除书法艺术外的第一个文学类社团。作为一个由本学年开始新成立的社团，虽然在开办的第一年内，遇到了新社团所面对的一些诸如缺乏经验、尚不稳定的困难，但是本学年内通过各个社员的积极奉献和出谋划策，逐渐摸索出一套独特、灵活、包容的社团运营模式；与此同时，社团体系也已不断调整和完善。本学年文学社共有有效成员约35人，其中核心成员约9人。“有效成员”应定义为在学年初注册加入文学社，并且学年中有参加文学社所举办的各类活动的同学；“核心成员”则是积极参与社团活动的管理、经营的社团成员。
19-20学年的文学社社团活动主要分为三条线路：创作，学习与文学讨论。主题包括不同语言或文化背景的文学作品（主要以中英文的方式呈现）。考虑到文学以及文学普及对每个人来说的都有独特的意义，今年文学社的成员们从上述三个不同线路出发，应用公众号推文、讲座、讨论会三种不同呈现方式，举办了包容社团核心成员各人不同风格的，并且能够大部分社团成员文学兴趣，培养文学素养的活动。本学年中我们仍然有做得不足的地方，如对文学重要性的宣传不到位，管理方式有时松散，社团凝聚力还有待提高。因此文学社希望能在明年继续拓展活动办法与内容，招揽更多热爱文学创作，享受文学鉴赏，并乐于向更广泛的群体分享文学知识的忠实社员。
今年的社团活动执行中，社团骨干有：社长田睿琪，主要负责协商社团内外事宜，社课宣讲人培训，和社团官方公众平台宣传；社长黎捷，主要负责举行读书讨论会；文编部部长吴越，负责审核社内成员文学创作；策划部部长金奕辰，负责谋划社课主题的策划组。
1.1 社课活动
文学社社团活动的一大形式为社课。相对于传统的古文学课程，在SOLIT文学社举办的社课题目更为灵活有趣，主题也更加广泛。本学年有由田睿琪、金奕辰、梁婧桐同学以社课讲座的方式分别介绍了《诗经》里的诗词与花草、《山海经》里的异兽与传说、以及小说《伊甸之东》的主旨与思考，向同学们普及文学常识。在执行社课活动前，主要是策划部的同学与演讲人讨论课题，准备并做演讲，偶尔会邀请学校的老师或者外校文学社的同学交流。
社课通过宣讲有趣多样的文学主题，意在打破同学们对于传统文学或繁琐古板，或无关生活的刻板印象。因此，在生动活泼的社课宣讲过程中，文学社策划组在本学年中引用了中外文学及国画学者、作家的多彩绘画作品（如国画形式的诗经花草、板绘形式的山海经异兽），在社课里把文学与异闻传说、自然、人生规律联系在一起，以此使文学真正融入社员们的生活。本社团社课的重要信念是使我们国际学校的同学也能在倍感压力的紧张学习生活中，能抽出一刻凌于焦虑之上，轻松地享受文学世界的诗与远方。因此，策划部成员与每一位宣讲社课的同学也致力于打造放松而富有文学气息的主题探究，在此过程中提高综合思考能力与能力。
1.2 读书会
SO. LIT 文学社阅读研讨小组主要进行了文学著作阅读：每次研讨会之前，大部分参与者会阅读一本完整的英文著作（主要是小说），书目的选择是经过研讨会小组成员讨论得出。研讨会小说的情节、主要内容、精读选段，最后交流各成员的感想和关于书中主题的思考。读书会的优越之处在于它的受众可以囊括未读完整本书的另外一些同学进行一个氛围活跃的思考交流会，并且启发社团成员对于一些比较陌生和特别的社会问题的思考，如殉葬制、人文主义制度、以及皇权对戏剧的影响。同时，结合AP和高一英语课程所学习到的rhetorical analysis技巧，对特定文章选篇进行分析作者意图与表达目的。我们再与AP英语老师的沟通中，也发现他们对这种讨论氛围的称赞—阅读及讨论是分析一篇小说的较好方法。Reading workshop组内总共有6名社员，且大多数为高一同学。其中，我们课后布置的creative writing活动中，社员们踊跃参与，为文章的续写添加了许多素材。
本学年的读书会一共组织社员阅读并讨论十余本书，在此过程中，我们相信每一位参与者都能够充实课内外生活，提高思想深度，并丰富阅历经验。为了提高大家的英语水平，增大阅读量可以让社员们的英文阅读更加流畅。作为一个兴趣阅读小组，文学社workshop更好地丰富了同学们的课外生活。
研讨会的宗旨
1.3 公众号推文
为了向本校，甚至外校同学宣传文学社各类的内容，与此同时为本社团文编部的成员提供文学创作的平台，本学年社团开设了社团公众号——HFI文学社SO.LIT。本学年的公众号由社长田睿琪和文编部部长吴越共同管理、审核。在本学年（尤其是因疫情的网课期间）当中，公众号多次发表推文，不仅鼓励社团成员进行定期的文学创作，而且能够填补线下活动诸如社课和读书会方面的受众局限性。
本学年中，公众平台的原创推文主要采用文编部社员文思泉涌的文学作品。每5周文编部收集社员的文学创作。因为公众平台推文旨在展示社团成员不拘一格的创作风格，每一次都不限字数，不限文学体裁，但是要坚持原创。文编创作活动得到社员们的认同和喜爱，反响良好，最后由文编部部长以及社长择优在公众平台发表。与此同时，文学社内成员也时常在公众平台发表推文后自发地讨论文章内容与隐藏的主旨并给予建议，能够实现文学社体系内“创作—鉴赏—反馈”的良好循环。

Content: Introduced the background of the Book of Mountains and Seas, a collection of ancient myths in China, including the meaning of several bizarre creatures in it: Luo Yu, Qiong Qi, Bo, Ran Yi Yu, Di Jiang, Sheng Yu. Then illustrated examples of citation to these creatures for their representation in other ancient literature.

Past Me from the Past was based on a large use of personification and imagination, with the discussion of relationship between two characters as the main line, and expressed the author's interpretation of the current severe environmental problems; From the "reality" of the first chapter, the main character of The Lake · Two traveled back to the forgotten past ten years ago in search of lost memories.

Content: Summarized and recommended the books of the online reading group: "Their Eyes Look To Heaven" discussed the history of Black America, issues of gender equality, and the influence of parents on marriage. A Midsummer Night's Dream discussed the influence of history on the play (during the reign of Queen Elizabeth), the English Renaissance and the movement of humanism, the humanist ideal of equal treatment of man and nature, and the rule of the Church in England. Fortress Besieged discusses the disadvantages of the old arranged marriages, criticizes the political and political disadvantages of the Kuomintang-ruled areas in the 1930s and 1940s, and criticizes the corruption of the educated people in the education sector, and reflects on and criticizes the old culture.
