1.The first event will be an introductory theory-based session on sports medicine. Topics will include the classification of common sports injuries, as well as an overview of major joints and muscle groups in the human body.
2.One to two specialized learning workshops will be organized each quarter. These sessions will follow a “pre-event task + workshop discussion” format. The Deputy Head of the Planning Department will communicate with members to select themes and assign preparatory tasks such as readings, research, or skill reviews. Activities will focus on real-life international cases, in-depth analysis of sports celebrities’ injuries, and knowledge reinforcement through both online and offline channels to ensure effective learning and retention. (The Finance Department will secure funding to purchase books, models, and other learning resources.)
3.We will make educational posters, publish original articles on WeChat Channels, and host mini-lectures. These will center on scientific exercise principles—including warm-up and stretching techniques, standard exercise recommendations, and the mechanisms and prevention of common injuries such as muscle cramps.
4.One or two observational study trips will be arranged to sports medicine departments or sports science labs in tertiary hospitals. Members will learn about the function and operation of medical equipment, engage in discussions with specialists, resolve questions, and gain practical insights. (Alternatively, we may invite doctors to give talks on sports medicine.)
5.In line with current events, we will incorporate Olympic-themed education. With the Deputy President being a former professional figure skater, and with the upcoming 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan, we will promote awareness of winter sports and related sports medicine topics. These may include special medical considerations in cold environments, case studies of skaters’ injuries, and injury prevention strategies for winter sports.
6.The club will serve as a medical support unit for certain HFI charity events, such as campus marathons or other public welfare activities. Members will be stationed throughout the event to provide emergency aid, assist school doctors in promoting safe exercise practices, conduct basic medical studies, and share knowledge on injury prevention, warm-up, and stretching. A first-aid kit (containing bandages, gauze, iodine, heatstroke medication, ice packs, etc.) will be prepared to assist injured students promptly.
7.We will seek collaborations with other HFI sports clubs (e.g., fitness club, football club) to assist in developing scientific training plans and nutrition programs (e.g., the importance of pre- and post-exercise nutrition). The goal is to help student-athletes maintain good physical condition, overcome performance plateaus scientifically, and foster a healthy sports culture on campus.
8.We will organize 2–4 practical skill sessions, which may include online seminars led by professors and offline workshops guided by hospital doctors. Participants will learn various bandaging techniques, basic application methods of sports tape, and other introductory practical skills.
