A Heartfelt Homecoming: Alumni Reconnect with HFI

On Friday, January 3rd, the HFI campus at Shipai welcomed a special group of visitors with much pleasure and delight: HFI alumni. They came back from all over the world to attend a homecoming that is held specially for them so that they can enjoy the happiness of their high school life. No matter how hard they are studying right now; no matter how stressful their work is, HFI was, is, and will always be the spot of relaxation, the cross-section of the journey of life.

The homecoming started at 3 p.m., when students checked in. After checking in, they get to explore the campus they are so familiar with freely. In addition, to help bring back their precious memories of having classes, they can make an appointment in advance to take classes in P6(14:50-15:45), P7(15:55-16:50), and P8(17:00-17:55), along with their junior fellow students and teachers. Also, drinks and desserts are provided.

According to Aurelius Li, a senior from the class of 2024, he was about to “Cry when he was taking the classes,” “I really miss the times when I was taking world history; though it is tiring, at least it was heartwarming to have this class,” He said with gratitude.

As this heartfelt alumni activity came to a close, we should thank once again the personnel who made plans for this activity that made the graduate students feel so at home; and we should also thank all the alumni who came back to attend this activity, without whom it could never be such a harmonious and cozy activity. The activity may have ended for now, but the bonds HFIers created will never decease: It is a legacy that can be carried on for years and all HFIers can be proud of.
